Myriam Khoury

Vice President of Innovation

Myriam Khoury is a seasoned humanitarian driven by curiosity about the world and a desire to build a global environment in which every person can fulfill their human potential.

Myriam started with Mercy Corps in 1996, when the organisation merged with Scottish European Aid, the agency she was working at the time. Since then she has held pivotal roles in program development and management, including overseeing technical support, leading new initiatives, and supervising post-conflict programs in the Balkans and Caucasus regions for over a decade.

In her current role as vice president for innovation, she supports global initiatives to establish scalable social impact by utilizing technology, testing, and development of new program models.

Myriam feels most privileged to work with and learn from global team members, and takes daily inspiration from the vision and ingenuity they demonstrate while facing — and overcoming — obstacles put in their way by conflict, displacement, climate change, and other challenges.

Earlier in her career, Myriam worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Balkans, supporting people displaced by conflict. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University.

When not working, she is happiest reading or enjoying a leisurely coffee with a friend. She also relies on regular dance classes to keep her smiling even on a tough day — she says it’s hard to worry about anything else when you’re trying to nail a fast samba step!
