Fred is a retired Malian professional footballer, who enjoyed his greatest success with the La Liga side, Sevilla FC.

An avid supporter of many humanitarian causes, Fred established the Kanouté Foundation, which opened its flagship project, the Sakina Children's Village (Mali), in 2010.

Fred is also founder of 12MAN management consultancy and the Kafo Academy.
