Josh DeWald, Vice President of Evidence and Learning, will bring Mercy Corps’ programme learning functions together into the new department to further strengthen our commitment to evidence, data, and learning. The Evidence and Learning Department comprises Monitoring, Evidence and Learning, Research and Learning, Global Crisis Analysis, and a developing Knowledge Management/Evidence Use team.
The department will work closely with regions, countries, and programmes, and collaborate closely with global support teams such as Technical Resources and Quality, Information Technology, and Policy & Advocacy. The goal of the department will be to generate, use, and facilitate the application of evidence to improve programmes, scale what works, and influence others. Teams from the former Programme Performance and Quality (PaQ) unit are joining the new Evidence and Learning, TRaQ, and Global Programme Delivery departments under the redesigned Programmes Function structure.
Transitioning from his current role as VP of Global Programme PaQ, Josh will continue as a member of Mercy Corps’ Leadership Team, as well as the Change Agent coordinating the Pathway to Possibility’s Evidence Driven Commitment.
