As Head of Education, Omar Al-Tal currently manages Mercy Corps education programs in Iraq. His work focuses on programming to support children, adolescents and their families through accelerated education, psycho-social assistance and parenting support. Omar also managed Mercy Corps’ adolescent girls’ center and child protection programs in Jordan. Passionate about putting forward the voices of youth, adolescents and children as advocates for peace, Omar aims to be a catalyst in the lives of children, adolescents and youth, supporting their efforts to define safe spaces, build self-reliance and enforce the sense of belonging through education and emotional support.
