Paul Dudley Hart is a Senior Advisor at Mercy Corps with more than 25 years of senior management experience.
He recently transitioned to this role after five years serving as the Senior Vice President of the Global Partnerships and Alliances group, which explores and realises new strategic alliances to increase Mercy Corps' relevance and impact in humanitarian and development through diversified partnerships.
Paul's achievements at Mercy Corps include; serving as SVP of Resource Development, managing Mercy Corps' merger with Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Conflict Management Group, overseeing the agency's Asian market initiatives, supervising the material aid unit and launching the agency's climate change initiative. He also served as Mercy Corps' interim Country Director in Iraq in 2003.
Previously, Paul's career includes 10 years as CEO of Pacific Crest Outward Bound School as well as time serving as Director of development and international and industry programmes at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, where his tenure included involvement in the discovery of the RMS Titanic.
At the beginning of his career Paul spent four years serving on a sailing ship doing underwater filming in the South Pacific and then spent ten years doing oceanographic research in the Antarctic.
