Stanley is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Food4Education (food4education.org) an African-based and African-led social enterprise that currently feeds over 600,000 school children every day in Kenya and has an ambition to grow this to 3 million students across at least 3 countries in Africa by 2030.
Before joining F4E, he was the first CFO of Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia Plc, the first privately owned operator to provide telecommunications and digital financial services in Ethiopia. Prior to Safaricom, Stanley spent 13 years in various senior finance roles with Diageo in Kenya, Indonesia, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. He also served as Director for Global Audit & Risk for Diageo’s Africa and Europe markets. He also worked at Barclays Bank Kenya (now Absa Kenya). Stanley started his finance career in tax consultancy at Deloitte & Touche in Kenya and Uganda. He later became the Head of International Tax and Risk Leader for Deloitte East Africa.
Stanley earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Nairobi and is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPAK). He speaks English, Kiswahili, and his native Kikuyu language. Stanley reads widely and loves music.
