Mercy Corps will become Prosper Global

Mercy Corps’ name will change in September 2026. Our commitment is as strong as ever.

After more than 40-years operating around the world as Mercy Corps, we’re proud to announce that this fall we’ll become Prosper Global. Our new name reflects who we are today and the future we are determined to build together: a world where every community can prosper.

Because when every community can prosper, all of humanity moves forward.

Our work is more important than ever

The world is at an inflection point: Humanitarian needs are surging, crises are converging, global cooperation is fraying, and the impacts of climate change and conflict are becoming more severe. In this moment, our commitment to vulnerable communities must be stronger than ever.

Our new identity will help us meet this rapidly shifting landscape with clarity – and  galvanise partners and rally supporters around a shared vision for greater global impact.

Over time, we recognised that our name no longer fully reflected who we are today or the ambition of our work.

“Prosper” speaks to our conviction: Every community deserves the opportunity to shape their future and thrive.

“Global” reflects our interconnected world and our belief that progress anywhere strengthens humanity everywhere.

What remains the same

While our name and logo will be different, what you know us for — and the heart of our work — remains the same. This does not change what we do, our values, or the communities we serve.

We will continue to:

  • Work on the front lines of conflict and climate change.
  • Champion locally-led solutions, and partner with communities to help them cope, adapt, and thrive.
  • Collaborate with partners, donors, governments, communities, and local leaders to develop innovative solutions and deliver lasting impact.
  • Keep supporters informed, connected, and involved in our work.

Whether creating safe access to urgently needed resources in conflict zones or collaborating with communities to adapt to the changing climate, our work as Prosper Global is more important than ever.

Moving forward – together

Our new logo brings together two universally recognised symbols: an arrow and a heart. It represents compassion in action—our collective commitment to helping people chart a path out of crisis and towards a better future.

We’re excited to forge ahead together. But we know a change this important requires care. We’re taking a thoughtful approach that allows teams and partners to continue their critical work with the time and space needed for a smooth transition. We also want to give our supporters time to understand this change and be ready to move forward with us.

Here’s what to expect in the coming months:

  • Announcement (March 2026): We’re sharing our intent to change our name to Prosper Global.
  • Preparation (Spring – Summer 2026): In the months ahead, we’ll continue operating as Mercy Corps while we prepare for a seamless transition.
  • Switchover (September 2026): We will begin operating as Prosper Global, rolling out our new identity across our websites, social channels, and communications in the US, UK, and across our country operations.
